Bravo in the Time of Corona
These past few weeks have been rough on everyone. It’s difficult to see the light at the end of the tunnel with everything happening in our world. Personally, I’ve been filled with anxiety and driving myself crazy. I mean, I can only re-watch all eleven seasons of the Real Housewives of New York City so many times before even I’ve had enough. Luckily, the Bravo gods heard my pleas for help.
We are in for an action-packed month of Housewives premieres and it honestly could not have come at a better time. Time to stock up on your Pinot Grigio and Xanax smoothies!
This would also be a great time for Bravo newbies to jump on the bandwagon (Mom, I’m looking at you)!
Real Housewives of NYC
Premiering Thursday, April 2nd
My personal favorite franchise is the Real Housewives of New York City. These women continue to bring their A-game each year. They put everything out there and deal with their issues like the boss bitches they are. Luann seems to be off the wagon again, which, as sad as it might be, is when she produces her best work. It appears the ladies travel to Mexico where we can only HOPE Luann falls into a bush again.
Dorinda, the lovable New York gangster, seems to be going through something HEAVY as well. We aren’t clued into what exactly that is, but her asshole boyfriend, John, better not be the root of it. The new girl, Lea, seems entertaining, although she’s trying a bit too hard in my opinion. But I won’t pull a Vicki and judge before giving her a chance. Tinsley is back together with Scott (gag me) and Ramona and Sonja are up to their usual antics (Praise Be).

Real Housewives of BH
Premiering Wednesday, April 15th
I have to admit, before the Denise and Brandi drama (check out my earlier blog for the dets) unfolded, I was weary about how this upcoming season would play out. With my personal idol, Lisa Vanderpump, quitting the show, I truly questioned how it could go on. However, the season 10 preview proves these women did not come to play.
In this incredible 2 1/2 minute clip, cocktails were poured and chaos ensued, all while Dorit fashioned over 8 hairstyles.
We had cameos from major Beverly Hills OGs ranging from soap opera star, Eileen Davidson, to the gold digging lunatic, Camille Grammer, to my personal favorite shit show, KIM RICHARDS!
Teddi is pregnant so we can expect her to be even more boring than usual. The Brandi/Denise drama took center stage as expected. Lets hope this season is as juicy as it looks, because based on their disastrous previous season, the ladies of Beverly Hills need a win.
Real Housewives of Potomac
Premiering Sunday, May 3rd
I know Potomac is not coming back until May, but since no one knows what day it is to begin with, I thought it was appropriate to include this gem. I joined the Potomac train last season, and let me just say, it is quickly becoming one of my favorite franchises. The Lord Savior, Andy Cohen, said this upcoming season is ‘unbelievable’ and that the ’drama within the group will surprise you’. Personally, I thought last season would be hard to top ‘drama wise’ and that I hit my personal threshold for shock with the butt-grabbing assault accusation. So if what Andy says is true, we are in for one hell of a ride.
One word of advice for newbies: Definitely watch last season to get caught up on this outrageous and scandal-ridden group.
In the preview, we see everything from a possible pregnancy to a stripper scandal. Dr. Wendy Osefo, the new housewife, seems like a total badass and I cannot wait to see what she brings to the table. Gizelle apparently gets back together with her ex, Jamal….WTF is she thinking?! Ashley’s husband, Michael, is still up to his philandering, predatory ways. Does anyone know why this man is not in jail yet?! In old Potomac fashion, the preview ends with a physical altercation between Monique and Candiace. Thank god we have RHONY and RHOBH to keep us entertained, because I CANNOT WAIT for these women to be back on my screen.
